The Konica Minolta bizhub® PRO C5501 proves that high-quality, on-demand color production can be cost-effective for any sized business. Fast 55ppm output in both color and B&W keeps you ahead of rising demands – and purpose-built design provides a robust monthly duty cycle of 250,000 pages, for workhorse performance in short-run, right-sized digital printing at far below the cost of offset printing.

Setup is fast and simple, with on-board LCD touch-screen control. You can customize a print solution that is perfect for specific applications – selecting from powerful Creo® or Fiery® image controller options and pro-quality finishing options, including 80-page booklet-making. With variable printing capability, you will be able to create audience-of-one documents that increase customer loyalty and improve response rates. And next-generation Simitri® HD toner technology can add spectacular color quality to every job you print.

Features

Robust bizhub PRO design. A true print professional, the bizhub PRO C5501 is designed from the ground up to handle the rigorous demands of high-volume production printing in both corporate and print-for-pay environments.

Fast, high-volume output. 55 ppm print output in both color and B&W lets you deliver short-run color printing more profitably - with a work horse monthly duty cycle of up to 250,000 pages.

Spectacular high-definition color images. Simitri® HD ColorPolymerized Toner utilizes smoother ultra-small granules to sharpen text, enhance fine detail, and reproduce a wider color gamut with rich tones that resist fading for excellent long-term quality. Oil-less fusing at low temperature saves energy- and color prints and copies resist fading.

Superb color quality, first print to last. Dot placement accuracy better than one pixel and improvements in image density from first to final print ensure that printed output will meet requirements of even the most critical eye.

Precise registration adjustment. Front and reverse sides are precisely matched to insure accurate alignment within 1mm for booklets or other duplex multi-page documents, with independent adjustments for transversal direction timing and image shift.

Internal heating unit. For smooth, fast throughput, an internal heating unit environmentally conditions paper stock for professional image quality with less curling and fewer misfeeds.

Heavy and coated stock. The bizhub PRO Color Production Series handles heavy and coated paper stock - up to 300 gm2, with full duplex capability up to 256 gm2.

Full-bleed 12" x18" printing. You can print on paper sizes up to 13.6" x19.2", to reproduce full-bleed 12" x 18" color originals while preserving crop marks and borders - a real advantage for production print professionals.

Maximum 4,250-sheet capacity. High paper capacity with optional paper trays helps reduce your labor cost by printing long runs with unattended operation.

Add paper and change toner on the fly. The bizhub C5501 also lets you add paper without interrupting your work - and replenish toner on the fly with a clean, simple exchange of toner bottles.

Powerful finishing options. The FS-520 Staple Finisher provides sorting, grouping and 50-sheet multi-position stapling with staple cutting function for varying staple length; the FS-607 Booklet Finisher enables you to produce folded and stitched booklets up to 80 pages (20 sheets).

Three image controller options. An embedded Fiery® IC-408 Image Controller drives entry-level configurations at full rated speed, with simple interface for print/scan productivity; the external Fiery® IC-305 Image Controller gives you advanced software tools for color matching, print queue management and make-ready, while the external Creo® IC-304 Image Controller provides an extensive feature set for superior color, higher output and greater value in professional graphic arts applications.
